Unit Objectives:

1. Recognize and articulate the main idea in a text.
2.Write an organized paragraph using the MEL-Con format
3.Differentiate between primary and secondary sources and understand the purpose of each.
4. Identify the parts of speech and understand how they function in a sentence.
5. Use knowledge of roots, prefixes, and suffixes to define words.
6. Use sensory details to describe an event.
